Sandy Lane, Northwood

We have submitted a detailed planning application for an attractive new apartment scheme in Northwood, Hillingdon.

Picture this: a leafy plot, intriguingly situated opposite NATO’s Allied Maritime Command base and close to Northwood’s town centre.

The site is a detached house positioned in generous and heavily-enclosed grounds. It’s a proposal with a long pre-application history and we’ve worked hard to address issues raise by the local planning authority.

  • After a thorough pre-application process, we’ve refined our plans for the development:

  • The scale has been downsized from 22 to 18 apartments, giving extra separation from nearby uses

  • We’re preserving the beautiful mature landscaped grounds, for the enjoyment of residents and to reduce the visual impact of the scheme

  • We’ve located parking at sub-ground level to limit visual impact of the building

  • Each apartment either meets or exceeds National Space Standards

  • The design showcases a stylish art deco vernacular, slotting in well with the locality.

The end result is a proposed built form that is bigger than the existing, optimising the site’s development potential, all while still delivering a sensitive scheme in keeping with its context. We can’t wait to see the scheme progress through planning and get to work delivering the scheme on site.
